Steps to Enrollment for Redirected Students
If you’re a first-time freshman, upper-division transfer student or an Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) student and have applied to a CSU campus, there is the chance that the campus(es) you applied to don’t have the capacity to admit more students. If this happens, your application will be redirected to an alternate CSU campus.
Redirection occurs after all campuses report their admission decisions for a given semester to Cal State Apply. For fall admission, this will be after April 1.

Cal Poly Humboldt currently has space available to accommodate redirected students on a first-come, first-served basis. If Cal Poly Humboldt is new to you, we encourage you to schedule a meeting with one of our Admissions Counselors to review the enrollment process and learn more about us.

Steps to Enrollment
If you decide that Cal Poly Humboldt is the right place for you, here are some steps you'll need to take:
- Let us know which major you'd like. As part of the application redirection process, your major may be currently listed as "undeclared". Take a look at our available majors and let us know your choice by sending us an email with your name, Humboldt ID, and intended major to apply@humboldt.edu
- Send us your transcripts. Keep your eye out for an email telling you about how to access your myHumboldt account, and then log in to check your To Do List for missing items. You can also visit myHumboldt to view your current application status and to see your next steps to enrollment.
- Apply for financial aid. If you haven't already done so, fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible if you need help paying for college. Make sure your current FAFSA results are sent to Humboldt (code 001149).
- Start looking for housing. Limited space is still currently available in on-campus housing—be sure to apply as soon as you're admitted! If you're planning on living off-campus, make sure to secure your living arrangements as soon as possible, as it can be difficult to find housing near the start of each new semester.
