I've Been Admitted to College
A Special Event for Local Youth!
I've Been Admitted to College (IBAC) was the vision of local educators and tribal leaders. They wanted to ensure that every 8th grader in Humboldt and Del Norte Counties had an opportunity to go to college. They wanted students to recognize the value of a high school graduation and the importance of attending college! They knew if 8th graders visited Cal Poly Humboldt, they would be able to visualize themselves here - and, today we have continued this tradition.
I’ve Been Admitted to College is provided in partnership with North Coast Cal-SOAP. Students will have the opportunity to learn about some of the great resources that Humboldt has to offer. At the end of their visit, 8th graders will be sent an Admissions Promise Certificate with their name on it. This is our promise to you: as long as you complete your A-G requirements in high school, you will be accepted to Humboldt!
