Freshman Orientation

The Freshman Orientation Program takes place in two parts and is designed to help support your transition to Humboldt State and show you what it means to be a member of our great community.

The first part is an online registration tutorial which takes place from June 18–29. This online course will prepare you for class registration and get you familiar with how to navigate the online technologies at Humboldt State. And you'll be assigned to a Registration Team who will make sure you've selected the courses for your major that put you on the right track to graduate in four years.

The second part is an on-campus program taking place on August 14-17. This is an all inclusive experience where you'll be exposed to every aspect of Humboldt life. You'll learn what it means to be an academically successful student. You'll get the chance to meet with faculty, tour campus, and learn about how Humboldt State can best support you in your time here. And, you’ll connect with students from the U.S. and around the world that may become lifelong friends.

Our orientation program is designed to welcome you and make you feel truly at home. We're excited to share our wonderful campus community with you and can’t wait to see you in August.
