Frequently Asked Questions

Is Fall Preview mandatory for all prospective students?

No. This annual event is a chance for propsective students and their familiess to come explore Humboldt State University and get to know our great community. This is a perfect opportunity to truly experience our remarkable University.

Can I register as a walk-in at the event?

Yes. If you are unable to register before the event you are welcome to register during the check-in hours at the on-site registration table. Check-in will be taking place at approximately 7:45am at the Art Quad. 

Where can I park? Is it free?

A parking permit is available on the event homepage. Please print it and bring it with you. Parking will be free for all visitors with a parking permit in HSU parking lots. Avoid resident lots, painted areas such as Service Vehicle parking, or 20 Minute Parking.

What do I need to bring with me?

 Please bring comfortable walking shoes and clothes, a jacket and umbrella, and your camera.

What weather is expected?

Arcata in October is wet and rainy so please bring the appropriate cothing and rain gear. An umbrella is highly recommended as you will be walking around campus the majority of the day.
