Steps to Enrollment

1 ADMISSIONS

Apply online using Cal State Apply. This is the official application system for all 23 campuses in the California State University, and you will need to create an account. 

Please see application timeline information below. More information about applying to HSU and other CSU campuses is on the main Cal State Apply website.

Be sure to check residency eligibility before you apply.

Graduate, Credential, Certificate of Study and International applicants have separate and/or additional requirements. Check with specific departments for deadlines.

Application Information

  • Applications are now being accepted for Fall 2018 from first-time freshmen, upper-division and lower-division transfers, veterans, and returning, international, and graduate students. The priority application period has been extended until December 15, 2017.

2 CHECK STATUS

About 2 weeks after you submit your application, you'll get an email from the Office of Admissions that explains how to log in to my humboldt. We recommend you check myHumboldt at least once a week for important updates and To do List items.

3 HOUSING

Apply for on-campus housing using the online housing application. If you want to live off campus, check out the listings.

4 FINANCIAL AID

The first step in applying for financial aid is to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
